Demand Media Hit New Lows

Demand Media currently run one of the largest spam mills on the web. It seems they have decided to push their spam even further and are now using dropped domains and 301′ing them to high earning internal pages.

From Gabriel Weinbergs blog:

fnboelwein.com redirects to www.ehow.com/apply-card-credit-online/. As does bankofelgin.com.

If you actually go to the link, you get this message at the top:
Hi There! bankofelgin.com isn’t available, but you’re still in a good place — ehow.com. We think we might have what you’re looking for.

Doubt it.
301′ing dropped domains into unrelated internal pages is about as risky (and against Google guidelines) as you can get.

But like Aaron Wall said:

Not to fear, Demand Media is a trusted Google partner, so the algorithm and engineers are prohibited to take action against the same activity which would get your website removed from the search results.

As usual, its one rule for the big guys and another for the rest of us.

They are big idiots over there in California I think. Demand Media could be wholly corrupt in the emerging years.
